Sonic Transmissions Records is a direct result of the upheaval of 2020. In March, Ingebrigt Hak̊er Flaten was visiting his native country Norway when the coronavirus pandemic shuttered Planet Earth. Instead of trying to find a circuitous route back to the States, he decided to relocate to Trondheim after 14 years abroad, leaving his longtime Austin home, and start a record label.
