Our conversations, which covered everything, continued through the period between his school days and when he emerged on the scene in New York. So we know each other very well. This familiarity makes our playing work like a conversation. It’s rendered in instrumental technique and made to work with an aesthetic direction that configures the design, but it’s always about expressing our shared belief that new music matters in ways that are unique to every listener.
