Description

Cellist Fred Lonberg-Holm and drummer Tim Daisy are two artists with a shared history dating back to Chicago’s thriving creative music scene of the late 1990’s. Working in various contexts over the years including Tim’s chamber music trio Vox Arcana, Ken Vandermark’s flagship ensemble the Vandermark Five, and Fred’s Lightbox Orchestra, “Alive at Elastic” presents their first recorded document in an improvised duo format and explores a wide range of inventive and inspired sound making, from quiet, textural landscapes, to full on energetic cacophony.
