Catalytic Sound Festival 2020: Day 2
"All proceeds raised will go to Assata's Daughters (www.assatasdaughters.org), "a Black woman-led, young person-directed organization rooted in the Black Radical Tradition which organizes young Black people in Chicago by providing them with political education, leadership development, mentorship, and revolutionary services. Through their programs they aim to Deepen, Escalate, and Sustain the Movement for Black Liberation.""
Catalytic Sound Festival 2020: Day 3
"All proceeds raised will go to the Fendika Cultural Center (fendika.org), which "celebrates and renews Ethiopia’s rich cultural heritage. We welcome all creative souls; through exchange of music, dance, art, and poetry, we meditate on humanity’s one-ness, and pray for a peaceful world. Our vision for Fendika is to continue to nurture the artistic community in Addis Ababa, and to grow into one of Africa’s most vibrant centers for artistic innovation and cultural exchange grounded in rich Ethiopian heritage. Funds raised from this campaign will help Fendika pay for basic survival salaries for 33 employees of Fendika, and Fendika Live concert production costs: artist fees for musicians and dancers who perform during Fendika Live concerts that are streamed online, payment for the camera crew for us to stream high-quality programs, transportation costs for artists and camera crew to travel to and from Fendika (They all need to travel by private, contracted cars, as public transit is becoming too risky), monthly wifi cost so we can keep streaming music and other programs.""
Jeb Bishop & Tim Daisy
"Daisy and Bishop eschew the groove-oriented nature of some of their larger groups, namely The Engines and Vandermark 5. Old Shoulders is heavy on smart and playful extended investigations of textures and tones, of atmosphere and mood more than rhythm, aggression or melody. —Patrick Wall, freeTimes"
Momentum 2 & 3 : Brüllt and Monster Roster
"Both discs of this installment of Momentum offer exciting developments in Vandermark’s discography. Incorporating electronics, composed themes, and free form sections, the arrangements are edgy and captivating throughout. The double disc set contains extensive liner notes by the musician and offers an excellent documentation of his continuing musical evolution." -Paul Acquaro "Free Jazz Blog"

Kyle Bruckmann & Tim Daisy
"Bay area oboist and composer Kyle Bruckmann and Chicago based percussionist Tim Daisy continue their two decades long musical partnership with a set of electro - acoustic duo compositions and improvisations inspired by the visual art of Annabeth Rosen. "
Marc Riordan & Tim Daisy
"Critics often speak of the chemistry between two musicians. Why? Because, it is so very easy to toss out this abstract, non-quantifiable concept. Those who agree, nod. Those who differ, well they have nothing on which to challenge your statement. But here I go, Tim Daisy and Marc Riordan showcase a stellar musical affinity on their duo release Joyride. —Mark Corroto, All About Jazz"
In This Moment
Mikolaj Trzaska & Tim Daisy
"This is the now. It is not their now now, it is mine. And that’s the beauty of it. This is one of the records that have the potential of opening up the moment to you, when you listen. Glad I did. —Hugo Truyens, Free Jazz Blog"
On the A and on the B
Per-Åke Holmlander & Tim Daisy
"Featuring solos from Holmlander on Side A and a duo with Tim Daisy on Side B."
